On the anniversary of Tom's passing, Team Telomere and the Insley family are honored to announce the launch of the Thomas W. Insley Fund. Created to honor Tom's life and legacy, the fund will support research and the programs that connect and empower patients, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers working toward better treatments and a cure for Telomere Biology Disorders.
About Tom
Tom Insley was a devoted husband, proud father, beloved family member, and loyal friend. He was someone who never stopped learning. A voracious reader, Tom found joy in science, history, sports, music, cooking, and, most importantly, the people he loved. He had a gift for connecting ideas, asking thoughtful questions, and making others feel valued, whether he was sharing a new piece of music he had discovered, discussing something he had just read, or simply calling his mom every Sunday. With his trademark humility and dry, sarcastic humor, Tom approached life with curiosity, generosity, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference.
When faced with telomere biology disorder, Tom brought that same spirit to understanding the disease. It is that same commitment to learning, helping others, and making a difference that Tom would want this fund to support.

Insley Fund will support both critical research and the operational work of Team Telomere, helping ensure that patients, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers have the resources, connections, and support needed to advance understanding, treatment, and ultimately a cure for telomere biology disorders.
While Tom is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the people he loved and the lives he touched. We believe he would be proud to know that this fund will help advance research and provide support for families affected by telomere biology disorders, bringing hope to patients today and to the generations that follow.
