Cocktails & Chromosomes: Minnesota
On October 18, 2025, Team Telomere hosted its fifth annual gala, Cocktails & Chromosomes: Minnesota, at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. The evening celebrated progress in Telomere Biology Disorder science and the community behind it, bringing together families, advocates, clinicians, and researchers for a night of connection and celebration. Highlights included Team Telomere’s first-ever live Shark Tank-style grant competition, funding bold and innovative research ideas, alongside awards, community moments, and joyful celebration of what has been achieved – and what is still to come.
Team Telomere Micro Meeting 2025
Held October 17 to 18, 2025, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, the Team Telomere Micro Meeting 2025 brought together the global scientific, clinical, and patient communities for two days of collaboration and discovery. With more than 120 attendees from 11 countries joining both in person and virtually, the meeting became the largest convening of scientists and clinicians focused on Telomere Biology Disorders to date, coining the phrase “Micro becomes Macro.” Patient speakers opened each session, ensuring that every discussion remained grounded in lived experience while advancing diagnosis, management, research, and advocacy across the field.
Cocktails & Chromosomes: New York City
On August 5, 2025, Team Telomere hosted its first-ever Cocktails & Chromosomes: NYC at Hogan Lovells, bringing together over 170 guests including families, friends, clinicians, and researchers for an evening of connection and celebration. Together, we raised $75,000, surpassing $1 million toward our $1.5 million goal to fund the first-ever clinical trial for Telomere Biology Disorders. The night featured powerful stories from community members, live music, and meaningful moments that highlighted the strength, progress, and hope of our shared mission.
Community Summit 2024
Held July 8–11, 2024, at the beautiful Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort in Idaho, the inaugural Community Summit brought together individuals and families impacted by Telomere Biology Disorders for four days of education, connection, and celebration. Attendees enjoyed expert-led sessions, community activities, and crossovers with the Scientific Summit.
Scientific Summit 2024
From July 8–11, 2024, the Scientific Summit gathered leading global experts to explore the latest advances in telomere biology research, diagnostics, and care. With a sessions spanning translational research, equity, emerging therapies, and psychosocial care, the summit fostered interdisciplinary collaboration and forward momentum.
Boots and Genes
Team Telomere hosted its fourth annual gala, Boots and Genes, a celebration honoring the strength, progress, and unity of the Telomere Biology Disorder community. The evening featured awards recognizing outstanding contributions, live music, a silent auction, and joyful moments shared by families, researchers, and clinicians.
