Camp Sunshine
Team Telomere is thrilled to gather with our community at Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine, from June 30th to July 3rd, 2025!
Camp Sunshine is a unique opportunity to connect with the community, gain valuable knowledge, and build support networks.
Camp Sunshine hosts retreats that combine respite, recreation, and support. Team Telomere partnered with Camp Sunshine in 2010 to host camps for families impacted by Telomere Biology Disorders.
This biennial camp is free of charge for our community members. Children and adults can relax and connect with other community members through recreational activities. Each family has a suite equipped with two twin beds, bunk beds, a futon, a full bathroom, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator. Meals are provided in the dining room and are occasions for socializing and unwinding.
Additionally, medical professionals specializing in Telomere Biology Disorders attend these camps to provide information about TBDs according to their specialties. They are available for family consultations during the session.
